When I think of drug addition, I couldn’t help but think of our neighbor back home and his children. He has been abusing drugs since I was in college about 7 years ago. He seems to be ok whenever he is not in the influence of drugs but when he is we can’t talk to him straight. He hasn’t had a steady job for many years now. Either he gets fired from stealing, his temper or tardiness. I feel sorry for his children who in a very young age had to witness such a painful reality. Unfortunately back in the Philippines help is not for everybody.

When I got here I can’t believe how fortunate those who are drug dependents who want to change. Help is everywhere for those who are willing. But one has to decipher which one really works.
